Odell Beckham Jr. will start the 2024 season on the physically unable-to-perform list after having a procedure earlier in the offseason. Beckham Jr. signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins on May 3 for $8.25 million.
Beckham Jr. played in 14 games during the 2023 season for the Baltimore Ravens after missing the entire year in 2022. Odell tore his ACL during Super Bowl 56 while he was a member of the Los Angeles Rams. Beckham Jr. caught 35 passes for a total of 565 yards while scoring three touchdowns. During the first six seasons that Beckham Jr. was in the NFL, he totaled at least 1,000 yards in five of them. Beckham Jr. has played for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Rams, and the Ravens during his nine-year NFL career.
Beckham Jr. is eligible to return from the PUP list on October 6 when the Dolphins head on the road to New England to their face division rival, the Patriots. Miami has two of the greatest and highest-paid WRs on their roster with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. That means for the first time in his career, Beckham Jr. will be a No. 3 WR.
Although he has had injuries throughout the past few seasons, Beckham Jr. has still shown flashes of greatness when healthy.
