In the race for the top seed in the American League, the Astros made critical ground by taking a crucial series on the road against the upstart Orioles.

Despite struggling to find the zone, he avoided a total collapse across five-and-two-thirds by only allowing three earned runs. The southpaw fanned four and continued to look like a different pitcher than the one who started the season in Toronto.

The Astros have climbed to +425 to win the AL pennant, creeping up on the Orioles at +370.
