Blue Jays SP Kevin Gausman goes off for 10 strikeouts vs. the Angels

The Angels lineup has been a great DFS matchup to attack, and that continued on Sunday afternoon. Kevin Gausman ($9,300; 36.55 FPTS) delivered a huge game for fantasy players that included him in their Sunday afternoon lineups.

Gausman matched his season-high with 10 strikeouts and didn’t walk a single batter, while giving up just two hits over seven strong innings. He improved to 12-9 on the season with a 4.10 ERA and 3.92 FIP. Gausman was a chalky play with 40.8% ownership in the $200K KNUCKLEBALL [$50K TO 1ST], but he definitely delivered on his salary, which was the highest on the board on Sunday’s main slate.

Toronto’s offense came from Gausman’s battery-mate Alejandro Kirk ($3,500; 20 FPTS), who homered in the seventh to add two runs to a 4-1 lead. Addison Barger ($2,500; 23 FPTS) also homered from the No. 9 spot in the batting order and was a great DFS value.

For the Angels, former Blue Jay Brandon Drury ($2,200; 14 FPTS) homered on one of the team’s three hits.

After finishing off their four-game sweep on Sunday, the Jays will fly south to Boston for four games against the Red Sox while the Angels will continue their road trip in Detroit. The Blue Jays will be sorry to see them go after these results:
