NASCAR is back and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. Build a “Pick Set” (2-6 drivers) and decide if they will outperform their stat projections. Here is some advice to help build your DraftKings Pick6 Pick Sets for the NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona.

Will Hamlin get caught in a wreck? That’s the question for every DraftKings NASCAR Pick6 driver on the board. Can they avoid the carnage that is the Coke Zero Sugar 400? The summer Daytona race was a permanent staple of the Fourth of July weekend. The schedule change did not leave the fireworks behind. If anything, the super speedway has become more explosive as the penultimate regular season race. Bubble drivers are desperate. Long shots are always desperate for a win at a drafting track. The playoff-qualified drivers have nothing to lose. It would make sense to pick worse for every driver on the DraftKings NASCAR Pick6 board. This is Daytona. It doesn’t make sense.
Since sense doesn’t make sense. It certainly doesn’t make cents. Hamlin has been one of the best super-speedway drivers since forever. Even with his recent of skid of six straight Daytona races without a top 10, Hamlin is statistically the best in the biz. Someone on the board has to survive. Hamlin is as good of a pick as anyone to navigate the pack and finish up front.
Bubba Wallace: Finishing Position – 10.5

Is any driver more likely to wreck? Among the field, there is a difference in super-speedway finish rates. Among the DraftKings NASCAR Pick6, there is not much of a difference. The Pick6 drivers are all quality plate racers. The difference is their situation. Bubba Wallace is sitting outside of the playoff bubble. Daytona might decide his season.
A win and Bubba’s in. A win by a non-qualified playoff driver and the margin to point-in gets larger. The second point is significant. Even if a playoff driver wins, Wallace still needs points. He cannot afford to lay back at the end of the stages. He’s got to race. Wallace will have to dice it up during the most dicey moments of the race. This increased volatility separates him from the rest of the Pick6 drivers on the board. If worse should be the pick for any driver at Daytona, then Wallace is the worst.

How to Play DraftKings Pick6
Create a Pick Set
Create a Pick Set by choosing between 2-6 players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
