NFL Best Bets: Scoring Specials Props to Consider on DraftKings Sportsbook

There continue to be more and more extensive options for what to bet on. This applies to all sports, but especially in NFL scoring bets.

One emerging market on DraftKings Sportsbook is the ability to wager on teams to tally at least one touchdown in every game. There is intriguing value on the board with 23 teams sitting at plus-money and the ability to parlay up to five teams in the same selection.

In 2023, NFL teams averaged 21.8 points scored per game. There was an average of 2.38 touchdowns scored per game, which broke down to 1.39 receiving touchdowns and 0.86 rushing touchdowns. The remainder was tallied by defense and special teams.

The San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins tied for the most touchdowns in the NFL last year by scoring 61. On the other side of things, the New York Jets produced the fewest touchdowns with just 22 total throughout the season.

While one week could ruin season-long progress, this type of wager gives you something to follow along on a week-to-week basis. Here are some intriguing angles to take on this wager and ways you could find value on the betting board.

Chicago Bears (+175)

Last season the Chicago Bears had two games in which they failed to score a single touchdown. This occurred against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12, which they managed to win 12-10, and against the Packers in Week 18, which they lost 17-9.

Following one of the most impressive offseasons in the NFL, the Bears are expected to take a major leap. Caleb Williams is set to raise the ceiling of the offense in a major way and his receiving core of DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze will each be ready to make a day-one impact.

While there is always some concern for a rookie quarterback, Williams is as NFL-ready as a player can come and is one of the most highly anticipated number-one picks in recent memory. The +135 Rookie of the Year favorite is in a far more favorable place than most top picks find themselves.

Across his lone season at Oklahoma and two years at USC, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner tallied just three total games without his team finding the end zone. While the NFL is a different beast, Williams has all the intangibles to have belief in immediate success and the weapons around him to capitalize.

Another reason for belief is the weak schedule the Bears will face. Chicago’s opponents will have a combined record of 135-154, which is tied for the second-most favorable across the NFL.

Expect the Bears to be must-watch television on a week-by-week basis. The +175 odds for Chicago to get in the end zone every week is an intriguing number for an offense that is set to take a massive step forward.

San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, & Miami Dolphins Parlay (+434)

These three teams all ranked in the top five in total touchdowns last year and should be expected to do the same this season. They also scored a touchdown in all 17 weeks last year. To take it a step further, the 49ers have not gone a game without scoring a touchdown since 2019.

Following the addition of Derrick Henry, the Baltimore Ravens are expected to take a significant step forward as an offense. The four-time Pro Bowl running back has tallied at least 10 touchdowns in each of the last six seasons, including leading the NFL in rushing touchdowns in two of these years. He provides Baltimore’s offense with an element they have lacked and the team is hopeful to take a step forward this year even with the high standard that has been set.

Both Miami and San Francisco are in the discussion for the most creative schemes across the entire league. While the Kansas City Chiefs are also in the mix, the reigning Super Bowl champs quietly were held without a touchdown twice last year. With Brandon Aiyuk the only true question mark for impact players who may not be returning, both the 49ers and Dolphins have done a nice job keeping their cores intact.

Expect the 49ers, Dolphins and Ravens each to be in the mix for the most dynamic offenses in the NFL. That is sure to result in a great deal of scoring and multiple trips to the end zone weekly. Get some additional value by parlaying the group together and buckle up for some frequent time in the Red Zone.
