Mookie Betts ($5,800; 26 FPTS) missed 42 games due to a fractured wrist. Over that span, the Dodgers had a 22-20 record while the offensive numbers were predictably worse without him in the lineup. The Dodgers slashed .246/.328/.421 with a .175 ISO without Betts in the lineup and went 44-29 with a .255/.334/.436 slash and a .181 ISO with him in the lineup.
On Monday, Betts returned to the lineup and, while he was moved down to second in the batting order, he still did vintage Betts things, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and stole a base.
Shohei Ohtani ($6,700; 25 FPTS) is the Dodgers’ new leadoff hitter, and he also had himself a combo meal, going 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs, a walk and a stolen base.
Clayton Kershaw ($7,700; 19.75 FPTS) went 5.2 innings, struck out six, walked two and only allowed one earned run on three hits. This was Kershaw’s fourth start since returning to action and, after allowing two and three earned runs in the first two contests, he has now had two starts with only one earned run allowed in each.
The Brewers scored their only runs of the game on a two-run home run by William Contreras ($5,200; 23 FPTS) in the sixth inning.
