Things could not be any worse for the White Sox right now, as the Twins beat them 6-2 on Saturday and handed them a franchise-record 19th consecutive loss. The last time Chicago won a baseball game was all the way back on July 10th, against these same twins.
Bailey Ober ($8,400; 26.75 FPTS) was great on the mound for Minnesota, going seven innings while allowing just two runs on two hits and striking out seven. Despite the good pitching performance, the game was tied 2-2 going into the seventh inning. That is when the floodgates would open, as Max Kepler ($4,000; 14 FPTS) hit a go-ahead, pinch-hit solo home run, before Willi Castro ($4,500; 9 FPTS) put the finishing touches on with a two-RBI single.
Ryan Jeffers ($4.100) also added two hits and a home run in the win for Minnesota, while leading all Twins hitters in fantasy points with 26. The lone bright spot for the White Sox was Brooks Baldwin ($2,500; 14 FPTS), who hit his first homer of the season in the sixth inning. Chicago is now an MLB worst 27-86 on the year.
