Cabrera ($6,700; 28.25 FPTS) pitched a gem Sunday, striking out eight batters and only allowing three hits in his five scoreless innings of work. This outstanding start was a very positive sign for Cabrera and the Marlins, as a knee injury forced him to exit his last start early last Tuesday. Not only was Cabrera a tremendous DFS value at his reasonable salary, the 26-year-old was only rostered by 5.2% of the field in the $222K Bat Flip.
Offensively for the Marlins in this shut out win, Jonah Bride ($2,500; 20 FPTS) destroyed his low salary with a three run homer. Additionally, Emmanuel Rivera ($2,100; 15 FPTS), Otto Lopez ($2,900; 12 FPTS) and Cristian Pache ($2,900; 12 FPTS) all provided at least one hit and one stolen base. Despite scoring no runs in the ugly loss, Austin Riley ($5,100; 11 FPTS) led Atlanta with three hits, including a double.
While Sunday marked the Braves second loss in a row, they are still only 5.5 games behind the Phillies for the top seed in the NL East and carry +250 odds on the DraftKings Sportsbook to win the division.
