Report: Lady Gaga and Celine Dion to perform at Olympics Opening Ceremony

Updated:

By: Andy Silva

The Olympics get underway on Friday with the Opening Ceremony, set to take place along the Seine and reportedly a pair of pop stars will take part in the festivities.

The duo will reportedly perform “La Vie en rose,” according to French journalist Thierry Moreau. The Hollywood Reporter is also reporting Gaga’s involvement.

Olympics organizers haven’t confirmed much about the Opening Ceremony, but NBC News reported earlier this week that Gaga and Dion have arrived in Paris. Gaga has also been seen around Paris interacting with fans. It would wrap a busy week for Gaga, who was seen in the new trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux that dropped earlier this week.

If the reports are true it would be Dion’s first performance since revealing she suffers from Stiff Person Syndrome.

The Opening Ceremony will air live from Paris on Friday at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC and will re-air that same night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
