Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) continues his professional boxing journey, this time opposite former UFC striker, Mike Perry (0-1). The 8-round cruiserweight bout takes place this Saturday, July 20. Paul-Perry will stream on DAZN at 9 p.m. ET, live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Paul was expected to fight Mike Tyson in this one, until a health scare forced “Iron Mike” to not compete. “The Problem Child” has won his last three bouts, including two knockouts against Ryan Bourland and Andre August. The former actor and YouTuber now looks to add Perry to the list of previous MMA fighters he’s defeated.
Perry currently competes as a middleweight in the Bare Knuckles Fighting Championship. After his UFC contract expired in 2021, Perry signed with BKFC and has won his first four fights. His last UFC appearance came opposite Daniel Rodriguez, losing by unanimous decision.
The co-main event features seven-division women’s world champion Amanda Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs) taking on Stevie Morgan (14-1, 13 KOs). Serrano enters the betting favorite with -4000 odds to win, while Morgan is a +1500 underdog, according to Draftkings Sportsbook.
In the main event, Paul is a –425 betting favorite to win, as Perry enters with +300 underdog odds. The favored method of victory is Paul to win by KO/TKO/DQ (-110).
