It’s been quite an offseason already for LeBron James.
He’s got a new head coach in JJ Redick … who was his podcast partner. He’s got some new teammates … including his son, who he publicly said years ago he wanted to play with before hanging up his sneakers. And he’s got a new two-year contract, worth over $101 million and including a no-trade clause as well as an opt out. And that’s all before he goes for his third gold medal in Paris at the Olympics later this month.
And Dan Le Batard said on Wednesday’s edition of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz that it’s all a sign that no matter his age, LeBron is still the King.
“LeBron can do whatever he wants,” Dan says. “He’s pushing the boundaries on the absurdity of, yup, the coach is my podcast host. Yup, son plays for the team. Anyone got any objections?”

Furthermore, in an arrow right through Stugotz’s heart, Dan says people don’t recognize that LeBron is going to be so much bigger post-NBA than Michael Jordan was with just Nike. Dan says LeBron is going to make and do whatever he wants, in sports and beyond! Move over, MJ and Peyton. LeBron is coming for ya and anyone else who sits atop an empire in any industry. Just wait until he doesn’t have his attention diverted by basketball! It’s going to be scary!
