Baltimore looks to starting pitcher, Dean Kremer, to hold down that Yankees offense, posting a 4.42 ERA with 1.8 hole runs allowed per nine innings, but also a career-best 9.2 strikeouts per nine innings.
Since May 1, the bullpen of the Orioles has also out-performed that of the Yankees, ranking 12th with a 3.85 ERA in this span while the Yankees 3.99 ERA in the bullpen ranks 15th.
Both teams are in a funk with the Yankees 8-17 in their past 25 games and the Orioles having lost five straight games at home, but Rodon’s recent form in a situation where something has to give will be what gets the Orioles into the All-Star Break on a high note and atop the American League East.
