These teams are both considered favorites to win the title, which makes it unfortunate they have to meet two rounds before the final.

Spain gave up the early goal to Georgia in the round of 16 but quickly responded with four unanswered goals in what was always going to be a one-sided affair. Germany had a tough first half against an experienced Denmark side in the round of 16 but ultimately broke through in the second half for a 2-0 victory. Both Spain and Germany have looked excellent so far, which makes this a tough matchup to predict.
There are no major injuries to report on either side. Nacho should be fit for Spain but might not start, while the return of Jonathan Tah for Germany means Nico Schlotterbeck could got back to the bench. Niclas Fullkrug has been pushing to start for the host nation in this tournament and might get the nod in this pivotal knockout game.
These teams played recently at the 2022 World Cup, with the group stage match ending in a 1-1 draw. Spain has largely had the upper hand on Germany when it comes to major competitions, winning the 2008 Euro final and 2010 World Cup semifinal over their European rivals. However, I think these teams are so evenly matched I’ll pick a draw for regular time. When it comes to the pressure of extra time and potentially penalties, I’ll back the host side to move on.
