The British Grand Prix is one of the biggest races of the Formula 1 season with nearly half a million people descending upon Silverstone. Whether there or at home, DraftKings offers race fans DFS F1 contests that make the grand event grander.

The DraftKings Qatar Airways British Grand Prix 2024 slate locks at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday.

1. Max Verstappen ($15,000) — Nevermind Norris. The real story of the Austrian Grand Prix was a 6.5-second pit stop and the decision to run used medium tires during the final stint. That’s how an unbeatable car and driver lose. Brace yourself for a Mad Max week.

2. Lando Norris ($12,400) — McLaren couldn’t match the pace of Red Bull, but Norris nearly won the Austrian Grand Prix. There’s more to racing than pure speed. Strategy, pit stops and luck matter. Norris caught a break but Verstappen broke him. This should be a feisty week.

3. George Russell ($10,000) — Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. But to be lucky, one must be good. When Verstappen and Norris took each other out, Russell was in third and stole the win. Mercedes has speed.

4. Carlos Sainz Jr ($8,800) — Other than a retirement in the Canadian Grand Prix, the Spanish Ferarri driver’s worst finish is sixth. His average finish of 3.8 is the second-best in Formula 1.

5. Lewis Hamilton ($9,000) — Mercedes is coming home to Silverstone with a Champagne bottle and a fourth-place finish (Hamilton). The Canadian Grand Prix upgrades have paid dividends. A Hamilton win in his final season for the Silver Arrows was unthinkable a month ago. After Russell’s win, it’s a real possibility.

6. Charles Leclerc ($9,400) — An argument can be made that Leclerc should be ranked No. 2. That same argument can be made for a handful of drivers. That argument is based on racing not DFS F1. Leclerc has been an optimal DraftKings pick five times (second-most), but he’s only been optimal once in the last five races.

7. Oscar Piastri ($9,600) — It’s clear that Piastri is a step slower than his McLaren teammate. Ferrari and Mercedes are just as fast if not faster. The result is a salary that fluctuates. When his price is reduced, Piastri is an optimal DraftKings DFS F1 pick (Monaco and Austria).

8. Nico Hulkenberg ($4,800) — A Haas driver has been an optimal DraftKings Fantasy F1 pick in eight of the 11 featured DFS F1 contests. Hulkenberg earned his sixth finish in the optimal lineup last week in the Austrian Grand Prix.

9. Valtteri Bottas ($3,400) — Kick Sauber is another weekly DFS F1 value pick battle. The better teammate slides into the winning lineup at DraftKings. Zhou and Bottas have combined for eight optimal lineup finishes. Bottas has bested his teammate in three of the last four GPs.

10. Pierre Gasly ($5,200) — This is a new man. This is Alpine’s man. Gasly has been an optimal DFS F1 pick in three of the last four featured DraftKings contests. He was not an optimal pick in the Austrian Grand Prix but earned a top-10 finish.
