Even though the 2024 NBA Draft is in the books, teams will be able to continue adding players to their roster with a variety of contracts to fill out their entire development system. That includes two-way deals, G League and Summer League contracts, along with a host of other options.
Undrafted players typically don’t amount to much in the NBA but there are some exceptions who make their mark. Fred VanVleet is the most notable recent example of an undrafted player becoming a major factor in the league, but guys like Austin Reaves, Gabe Vincent, Sam Hauser, Jose Alvarado, Caleb Martin and Lu Dort have all carved out careers despite not being selected in the draft.
Some notable undrafted players in this class include Kentucky’s Justin Edwards, Clemson’s PJ Hall, Oregon’s Jermaine Cousinard, Creighton’s Trey Alexander and Arizona’s Keshad Johnson. These players were pivotal for their college teams and will hope to get an opportunity to make a NBA roster.
We’ll be tracking the latest signings and contracts for undrafted free agents after the 2024 event here.
