Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays
The Pick: Red Sox moneyline -120
The Red Sox are rolling right now. Despite a tough schedule that included the Phillies and Yankees, the Red Sox are 6-4 over their last 10 games and winners of three straight. Tonight, they look to continue that against Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt. His numbers across the board have been good but he has that one weakness that the Red Sox can expose, which is left-handed bats. On the season, lefties have tagged Bassitt with a .375 wOBA, with a 5.85 FIP and six of the seven home runs he’s allowed. The Red Sox, due to the mass numbers of injuries sustained, are loaded with lefties. When facing Marcus Stroman the other night, the Red Sox featured six lefties, which I expect would be the plan tonight. I would take this a step further and also target some of the bats that hit sinkers well, like Rafael Devers and Tyler O’Neill. Taking them to go over their H/R/RBI or total bases prop would be ideal. I included Devers in a Same Game Parlay, that is available on DraftKings Sportsbook tonight.

San Francisco Giants at Chicago Cubs
The Pick: Giants team total through first five innings over 2.5 +120
Justin Steele is taking the hill for the Cubs tonight against the Giants. Steele was a late Cy Young candidate last season and he’s been pitching well already thus far. However, the Giants are a very good hitting club against lefties, coming into today with a combined .351 wOBA and a 127 wRC+, both of which are currently the second-best in the league. The Giants have great numbers against fastballs from lefties as well, as tonight’s expected lineup has a .411 wOBA and a .194 ISO against that pitch. Steele is a very heavy fastball pitcher, throwing it 55% of the time. This is going to be a very tough spot for Steele, especially with winds blowing out at Wrigley Field tonight up to 15 mph. I think the Giants get going early offensively.
Cincinnati Reds at Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pick: Nick Lodolo over 6.5 strikeouts -110
To be fair, this is a high number for Lodolo. He’s only gone over 6.5 strikeouts in three of the 10 starts he’s made. However, this Pirates team provides a lot of strikeout potential, especially against lefties. Currently, they have the third highest K% in the league at 25.4%. Lodolo has been throwing some of his best stuff in his career and currently owns a 2.93 ERA with an xERA of 3.21. His strikeout numbers a down a bit but he is still averaging over a strikeout per inning at 9.5. If tonight’s expected lineup takes the field, the Pirates will feature five players with at least a 23% K% against lefties.
