The Boston Celtics, much to Miami’s collective chagrin, captured the franchise’s 18th NBA Championship on Monday night, defeating the Mavericks, 106-88, in Game 5 at TD Garden.

Charlotte Wilder, in all of her radiant glory holding champagne while wearing goggles, joined The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on Tuesday to celebrate.
To be clear, Charlotte gave no illusions of objectivity, they’ve all been discarded. She HIGHLY recommends that everyone have their team win a championship, 10/10, would recommend, no notes. In fact, she might have gotten a little emotional in the scared sanctum that is the press box.

Charlotte is such a sicko and so drunk off her Celtics kool aid — maybe mixed with some champagne and Miami tears — that when Payton Pritchard hit his half-court buzzer-beater to close out the first half, she immediately had one thought.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, is this the next dynasty? Is this the next Warriors? That is what a sicko I am right now guys,” Charlotte said.
Dan wants to know if she made it out onto the streets of Boston to celebrate after the big win. We all know for sure that Emerson Lotzia, made it out there and made an absolute mess of himself, licking a slice of pizza rather than eating it, as seen on GoJo and Golic.

Like any good, unobjective journalist, Charlotte went to the post-game press conferences and headed out onto Causeway Street at about 1:15 in the morning. And you know what, it was still a little scary (as seen in the above tweet). Having to walk two blocks to get a ride, Charlotte was unsure if that was a safe/good idea by herself. But fear not, this was her night and nothing could go wrong!
More seriously, thinking back to 2018 when Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown lost in the Eastern Conference Finals, it’s now been six years! And with subsequent conference finals and Finals losses in between, Charlotte is actually somewhat amazed Celtics management stuck with this core. Especially given that not only is patience a virtue, but it’s an expensive one at that. She says the Celtics won Banner 18 as a team and it made it so much sweeter than she remembered being in TD Garden in 2022 when the Warriors clinched their most recent title on the Celtics home floor. Losing at home, she says, feels awful, so for them to win at home two years later, she could only describe it as euphoric.
