Best Celtics player prop bets to consider for Game 3 of 2024 NBA Finals vs. Mavericks

The Boston Celtics will visit the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals Wednesday evening hoping to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs to win the series, so the Celtics could effectively wrap up the franchise’s 18th banner with a win Wednesday night.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite Celtics player props for Game 3, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jayson Tatum over 15.5 assists + rebounds (-118)

Despite shooting 31.6% from the floor and 28.6% from deep, Tatum remains a highly impactful player for the Celtics thanks to his role as a facilitator and rebounder. The forward has maintained his rebounding production throughout the playoffs and has 20 over the first two games, but his assist numbers have gone up nicely to balance out his poor shooting. Tatum has tallied 17 assists through two games, which has helped him go over this line in both contests. Even if his offense doesn’t come around in Game 3, I think the assists and rebounds will still be there for Tatum.

Derrick White over 2.5 3-pointers (-166)

White has hoisted triples at a high clip all postseason, averaging 8.5 attempts per game. He’s shooting 40.4% from behind the arc and was one of the few Celtics players who shot the ball well from deep in Game 2. White has gone over this line both Finals games and has hit at least two perimeter shots in the last seven playoff games. His volume is good enough to believe he’ll go over this line again Wednesday night.

Jrue Holiday under 6.5 rebounds (-142)

Rising on the Finals MVP odds table after his 26-point showing in Game 2, Holiday has been a force on the glass through the first two contests. He’s pulled down 19 rebounds combined, and that’s an area where Dallas can improve when containing Boston. It’s hard to judge Holiday’s scoring output because he can sink back into a more passive role in this offense, so I’d stay way from his points prop. I think the Mavericks make an important adjustment to Holiday’s rebounding surge and put a body on him on that side of the floor. Take him to go under this line in Game 3.
