2021 U.S. Open champion and LIV golfer Jon Rahm withdrew from this week’s major championship with a foot injury. Rahm will no longer be joining the 2024 U.S. Open field at Pinehurst after developing an infection on his foot ahead of the tournament. ESPN’s Marty Smith broke the withdrawal news on Tuesday.

Before withdrawing, Rahm had +2500 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook to win his third major. The Spaniard has performed well in his last few U.S. Opens, earning a T10 in 2023 and T12 in 2022 after his win in 2021 at Torrey Pines. However he has struggled in his major appearances this year, grabbing a disappointing T45 at the Masters as a reigning champion, and missing the cut entirely at the PGA Championship.
The 2024 U.S. Open will tee off on Thursday, June 13. Scottie Scheffler enters as the favorite to win at +300, and Bryson DeChambeau has the best odds among the LIV golfers at +2000.
