PITCHER

Stud

Logan Gilbert, Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago White Sox ($9,800) — The White Sox started a new losing streak on Sunday. It will likely continue on Monday. Gilbert isn’t the best pitcher on this slate, but his matchup makes him the sure-fire No. 1 pitcher for Monday. Also, Gilbert is a much better pitcher at home in Seattle’s pitcher-friendly park — 28.8% K-Rate at home and 20.6% K-Rate on the road.

Value

Erick Fedde, Chicago White Sox at Seattle Mariners ($7,800) — Forget about the win bonus. That can be said about any White Sox Pitcher on any day ending in a Y. The win points aren’t an option, but innings and strikeouts are here for the taking. The Mariners lead the league in strikeouts vs. right-handed pitchers (28.1%). Fedde is striking out 23.5% of hitters this season.

INFIELD

Stud

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays at Milwaukee Brewers ($5,000) — The park meets the DFS requirements. The pitcher meets the requirements. SP Colin Rea ($6,200) is worse against left-handed hitters but struggles overall — 6.22 K/9, 3.25 BB/9 and a 4.61 xFIP. He’s not the worst pitcher in MLB (3.53 ERA), but he’s one of the worst on a slate with premier pitchers taking the mound. Vlad’s power is down, but he is still hitting (.363 wOBA).

Royce Lewis, Minnesota Twins vs. Colorado Rockies ($5,900) — SP Dakota Hudson ($5,300) is the worst pitcher on the slate. Lewis is one of the best hitters on Monday’s slate. The Twins stack begins with Lewis. Don’t worry about rust. Last week Lewis returned to the lineup for the first time since his Opening Day injury. He’s hit safely in three of his four starts (two home runs).

Value

Adael Amador, Colorado Rockies at Minnesota Twins ($2,000) — Who doesn’t get excited about a midseason call-up? Amador is the No. 32 Prospect in MLB (No. 2 for the Rockies). His season-long MiLB numbers aren’t great, but he’s put together some hot streaks. He jumped from AA to the Majors on Sunday and started hot with a single and a stolen base.

Dan Vogelbach, Toronto Blue Jays at Milwaukee Brewers ($3,000) — SP Colin Rea ($6,200) struggles with left-handed hitters. He’s allowing a .362 wOBA and .223 ISO in the split. He’s pitching in a hitter’s park. Vogelbach likely doesn’t make sense as a one-off MLB DFS value pick, but he fits in the Blue Jays stack.

OUTFIELD

Stud

Fernando Tatis Jr., San Diego Padres vs. Oakland Athletics ($5,500) — His hit streak reached 15 games on Sunday (hits in 18 of the last 19 games). Tatis turned it on at the beginning of May — .387 wOBA and 158 wRC+ since May 3. His power is down this season, but he’s picked it up a little bit of late. Tatis has two home runs and four doubles over the last 10 days.

Aaron Judge, New York Yankees at Kansas City Royals ($6,500) — The matchup isn’t great. Most of the elite hitters on Monday’s slate are in tough matchups. There isn’t a perfect pick and playing the perfect pick doesn’t differentiate. Judge is the hottest hitter in baseball. Over the last two weeks, he has a .604 wOBA, .579 ISO and 307 wRC+.

Value

Manual Margot, Minnesota Twins vs. Colorado Rockies ($3,300) — SP Dakota Hudson ($5,300) has been much better outside of Coors Field. He’s worth considering as a cute punt. That being said, he’s still one of the weakest pitchers on the slate. His road xFIP is 4.71 because he doesn’t do his job — 4.72 K/9 and 3.41 BB/9. His BABIP is .211 on the road. Add in a 65.2 LOB% and bad days lie ahead.

Dalton Varsho, Toronto Blue Jays at Milwaukee Brewers ($4,400) — This pick can work outside of a stack. Varsho is on Monday’s home run radar. He has a .268 ISO vs. RHP and is in a hitter’s park. SP Colin Rea is allowing a .279 ISO to lefties at home in Milwaukee’s hitter-friendly park.
