The Boston Celtics will try to replicate their dominant performance in Game 1 with another strong effort in Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals. The Celtics have been able assert their will on most of their opponents but have been prone to some letdowns at home in the postseason after good Game 1 showings. Here’s a look at some of our favorite Celtics player props for Sunday’s game, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Kristaps Porzingis over 15.5 points (-120)
Porzingis retuned to the floor in a big way in Game 1, logging 20 points off the bench and emerging as Boston’s X-factor in the series. The big man’s Finals MVP odds shot up from +3500 to +700 thanks to his efforts and he is likely to get the start in Game 2. There’s clearly no limitations for Porzingis and Dallas doesn’t have a good matchup for him, so he should be able to clear this line again Sunday evening.
Jayson Tatum over 10.5 rebounds (+114)
Tatum’s scoring has been up and down in this postseason but his rebounding has gone to a different level. The forward has grabbed double-digit rebounds in all but three games these playoffs, which makes this prop very profitable for bettors. Tatum has gone over this line in the last two games and nine of Boston’s 15 playoff games. He should be able to continue dominating the glass against the Mavericks in Game 2.
Jrue Holiday over 4.5 assists (-120)
With Porzingis returning to the lineup, Holiday reverted back to his role as a connector in this Boston offense. The Celtics guard went over on his assist line despite the blowout result and should be able to register a few more dimes in Game 2. Holiday has gone over this line eight times in the postseason and with his scoring being eaten into by Porzingis’ return, the point guard should be distributing the ball more tonight.
