It’s officially the best time of the year, as NFL Best Ball is back on DraftKings.
This format gives players a chance to draft a fantasy football team for a season-long competition that requires no active in-season management, but still provides a full season of drama and competition.

32. Marquise Brown, Kansas City Chiefs
Brown signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs this offseason and will likely be forced into a large offensive role, due to the looming suspension of WR Rashee Rice. Brown is a burner who can take the top off a defense, and is a caliber of playmaker that Kansas City has not had since Tyreek Hill got traded.
Brown played only 14 games due to injury last year, but still posted 51 receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns. Keep in mind, most of those numbers came without Kyler Murray, who only played in eight games for the Cardinals after tearing his ACL in 2022.
Brown now gets to play on an Andy Reid offense, while having Patrick Mahomes throwing him the rock. The ceiling is through the roof here, and he’s a great selection in the fifth round of drafts.
38. Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills
The Bills have the second-most vacated targets in the NFL from last year, trailing only the Chargers, who lost both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Buffalo traded Stefon Diggs to the Texans and let Gabe Davis walk, while doing very little to replace either of them in free-agency.
Instead, the Bills looked to the draft for their Diggs heir apparent, and selected Coleman 33rd overall. Coleman’s profile had a few warts, but he still caught 11 touchdowns in his final season at Florida State last year, and he does possess NFL size at 6-4, 210 pounds.
Whatever you think of Coleman’s talent level, the Bills are extremely thin at receiver, with Khalil Shakir and the newly-signed duo of Curtis Samuel and Marques Valdes-Scantling as the only other options. They do still have Dalton Kincaid at TE who will command targets, but the fact remains that Coleman is going to see all the snaps he can handle in this Josh Allen led offense, and that’s more than enough to justify this WR38 price tag.
48. Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks
Lockett seems to be the odd man out in this Seahawks offense, with DK Metcalf going in round three and Jaxon Smith-Njigba going in the 90s. This really does not make that much sense, considering Lockett posted a better season than JSN in 2023, along with the fact that Seattle brought in Ryan Grubb to be their new offensive coordinator. Grubb was the OC for the Washington Huskies last season, who boasted arguably the most prolific offense in the country.
Lockett is 31 years old now, and coming off his first non-1000-yard season in five years, but the entire Seattle offense as a whole struggled last season. With a new coaching staff in tow, and Lockett still remaining ultra-durable (15 or more games played each of the past nine seasons), there’s no reason to not expect a bounce-back campaign in 2024.
If you get boxed out of wide receiver early, I absolutely love nabbing Lockett in the ninth round of drafts.
55. Brandin Cooks, Dallas Cowboys
It’s funny, because most people think that the Cowboys still have one of the best offenses in the NFL, yet CeeDee Lamb is the only Dallas player to go in the top 75 of drafts. We can use this to our advantage when trying to build Cowboys stacks, because Cooks has an ADP of 123, even despite catching eight touchdowns last season.
He’s clearly not the player he once was, as he’ll be entering his age-31 season, but with the Cowboys having one of the worst running back rooms in football, you’d expect Dak Prescott to rank near the top of the league in pass attempts. Believe it or not, but not every target can go to Lamb, which means other guys — like Cooks — will have to produce if the Cowboys want to make the playoffs again.
With only Jalen Tolbert and sixth-round rookie Ryan Flournoy as target competition outside Lamb, it’s safe to say Cooks will have to cook for at least one more season. He’s a really nice option this late in drafts.
