Bears’ projected depth chart following 2024 NFL Draft

Updated:

The Chicago Bears are moving on from Justin Fields and going all in on rookie Caleb Williams in 2024. They used the first overall pick — which they received through a trade with the Carolina Panthers last season — to select the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner out of USC, and used their own first round pick to add a weapon to his receiving arsenal in Washington’s Rome Odunze. The Bears have not reached the playoffs since 2020, and are hoping to see a major turnaround on offense this season. They added Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift this offseason, as well, and traded Fields to the Steelers.

Here’s a look at the projected offensive depth chart for the 2024 Chicago Bears following the 2024 NFL Draft.

Biggest offensive NFL Draft additions

Williams and Odunze are undoubtedly the top offensive additions, and both have plenty of fantasy football potential as rookies in both single-season and dynasty leagues. Williams passed for over 4,500 yards with 42 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2022, and passed for over 3,600 yards with 30 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2023. Odunze, a member of the Sugar Bowl-winning Washington Huskies, finished 2023 with over 1,600 receiving yards and 13 TDs.

Player most impacted by NFL Draft for fantasy football

Keenan Allen and DJ Moore were both impacted by the selection of a new quarterback in terms of their fantasy ceilings. The clear signal that the franchise is investing in Williams and setting him up for success will also set his two veteran receivers up for fantasy success. They can expect to share targets with the rookie Odunze, but his presence isn’t likely to make a massive impact on their fantasy potential.
