Happy Memorial Day everyone! There is plenty of action in the MLB today with 11 games taking place on the holiday slate. That means there are ample opportunities for bettors to place player prop bets and we’ll go over some of our favorites for today with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Freddie Freeman, over 1.5 total bases (+115)
Los Angeles is coming off a rough week where it lost five straight and will try to get right when starting a three-game set against New York this afternoon. Freeman has been middling at the plate during this stretch, but he did drive in the team’s only run in yesterday’s 4-1 loss to Cincinnati. However, if there’s any spot for him to get going, it’s against a Mets team whose current pitchers he’s batting .305 against for his career. He’s especially had success against today’s starter Tylor Megill, going 5-11 at the plate against the NY righty. I’ll pencil Freeman in for multiple bases today.
Nick Castellanos, under 0.5 hits (+145)
Castellanos has struggled at the plate considerably this season, but managed to get back above the Mendoza line in the past week. Philadelphia will begin a three-game series at San Francisco this evening and he’ll have a tough matchup against Giants starter Blake Snell. Castellanos is just 2-17 for his career against the two-time Cy Young winner, so I’ll say he struggles and goes hitless today.
Michael Harris II, over 0.5 stolen bases (+475)
Atlanta had a really rough weekend, dropping two-of-three to Pittsburgh and losing Ronald Acuna Jr. for the rest of the year due to an ACL tear. The Braves will try to regroup when starting a four-game series against Washington this afternoon and there’s an opportunity for them to get active around the base paths. The Nationals are yielding an average of one stolen base per game and actually gave up two in yesterday’s 9-5 loss to Seattle. Harris has seven for the season and I’ll predict him swiping another one this afternoon.
