If there’s one thing we know about Jaylen Brown, it’s that he loves to prove people wrong.
The entirety of the league pokes fun at his “lack of a left hand”? He makes a conscious effort to put together a highlight reel of lefty finishes this year. Celtics fans doubt the value of his contract extension back in 2020? He has the best season of his career.
He gets snubbed from the 2024 All-NBA Teams despite being a strong No. 2 option on the best squad in the league? You better believe he’ll be on a mission to prove voters wrong tonight.
Brown is also coming off a monumental three to send Game 1 of this series to overtime, in which he finished the contest with 26 points. He’s hit this over in four of Boston’s last six games, boasting an incredibly efficient field goal percentage in the postseason so far.
Success against Indiana isn’t a new thing for the versatile wing, either. Brown racked up at least 25 points in six of his last seven regular season meetings with the Pacers. I expect him to ride the momentum of last game while also generating motivation from his recent All-NBA snub to put together another strong performance tonight.
