It’s Christmas Day for race fans. Memorial Day Weekend is circled on the calendar. The Indy 500 is Sunday afternoon. NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 is on Sunday night. And Sunday morning it all begins with DFS F1. The festivities start with the world-famous Monaco GP. The race is a spectacle through the streets of Monte Carlo. DraftKings Fantasy F1 is celebrating the holiday with a large fantasy racing contest that pays $20K to first place.

The DraftKings Monaco Grand Prix 2024 slate locks at 9 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Set your DraftKings Fantasy F1 lineups here: F1 $70K Grand Prix [$20K to 1st]

1. Max Verstappen ($15,600) — The Monaco Grand Prix is decided by qualifying. Passing in the streets of Monte Carlo doesn’t happen. Verstappen tied Ayrton Senna’s record of eight consecutive poles last week at Imola. Max will win another pole and the race.

2. Lando Norris ($11,000) — The McLaren upgrade is working beautifully. Norris has the pace to beat Verstappen. Unfortunately, pace won’t matter in Monaco.

3. Charles Leclerc ($10,600) — It would be a dream come true for the hometown Monegasque to win the Monaco Grand Prix. That’s just a dream. Ferrari can’t match Red Bull or McLaren.

4. Sergio Perez ($9,600) — Checo is one of the best street circuit racers in Formula 1. He won the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix. His teammate won in 2023 and will likely win again, but Checo can take home second.

5. Oscar Piastri ($9,000) — McLaren has speed and speed comes at a cost. Piastri may not be at the level of Lando Norris but he’s also not at the price. Salary is everything in DFS F1 on DraftKings. Sacrificing a few points to save salary is how tournaments are won in Fantasy Formula 1.

6. Carlos Sainz ($9,400) — It sounds irrational, but wins can be irrelevant in DFS F1. Verstappen always wins and he’s often too expensive to matter in Fantasy Formula 1 on DraftKings. The target is the podium. Sainz has proven to be a good street racer. His Ferarri has the speed to qualify on the front row and thus finish on the podium.

7. Lewis Hamilton ($7,400) — The Monaco Grand Prix is the pomp and circumstance of auto racing. The race isn’t much of a race. Lewis Hamilton is the pomp and circumstance of race car drivers. He can still race if he has the race car. Mercedes has big upgrades planned for the Canadian GP but might unveil some upgrades in Monte Carlo.

8. Logan Sargeant ($3,000) — It’s the greatest weekend of the year. It’s a motorsports holiday in the U.S.A. Before the Indy 500 and the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600, the day gets underway in Monaco with F1. Why not pick the American? He’s been in the DFS F1 optimal lineup on DraftKings in three of the last four races.

9. Guanyu Zhou ($3,800) — The auto-racing holiday brings in a lot of first-time fantasy racing players. Here’s rule No. 1 to DFS 1 on DraftKings. Pick cheap drivers that outrace their teammates. Zhou has been an optimal fantasy Formula 1 pick in three straight races.

10. Pierre Gasly ($3,600) — This season has been a nightmare for Gasly and Alpine. The Monaco Grand Prix could bring temporary relief. Gasly has four top-10 finishes in five races through the streets of Monte Carlo. His worst finish is 11th.
