After some extended time off, the Boston Celtics are back in action in the Eastern Conference Finals as they host the Indiana Pacers in Game 1. The Celtics won both of their playoff series in five games and took Game 1 in dominant fashion, so they’ll be expecting a strong performance to start this series Tuesday evening.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite Celtics player prop bets to target for Game 1 Tuesday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jaylen Brown over 25.5 points (+100)
Brown averaged 28.4 points per game in five meetings against the Pacers this season, so he has had success scoring the ball against this particular opponent. He managed just 17 points in Game 1 against the Heat, but tallied 32 points in Game 1 against the Cavaliers. Brown has looked to be more aggressive over the last series, going over this mark three times in five games. With Kristaps Porzingis still sidelined, I think Brown continues to look for his shot early. He has the tendency to start strong, which could happen again Tuesday with Indiana potentially experiencing a bit of a hangover from Sunday’s Game 7.
Jayson Tatum over 10.5 rebounds (+120)
In eight of the 10 playoff games, Tatum has hit double-digit rebounds. He’s gone over this mark six times. With Porzingis sidelined, I expect Tatum’s rebounding numbers to remain solid. Al Horford and Brown have stepped up a bit on the boards as well but Tatum remains the most consistent producer in this category. It’ll take a few favorable bounces since he hasn’t shattered these overs but I see him getting past this mark again in Game 1.
Derrick White over 3.5 3-pointers (+130)
White went over this line in Game 1 against the Heat and Game 1 against the Cavaliers. He’s been an excellent perimeter shooter in these playoffs, connecting on 43.5% of his attempts. White shot 39.4% from deep against the Pacers in five meetings, and Indiana has generally struggled to defend the perimeter. I think White has yet another strong to start to a series from behind the arc and will hit 4+ triples in Game 1 Tuesday.
