Knicks PG Jalen Brunson suffers fractured hand in Game 7 vs. Pacers

Update: Brunson officially has a fractured hand and will not play in the rest of Game 7. It’s obviously a crushing blow for the Knicks, who have been decimated by injuries all season. Alec Burks and Miles McBride will take over Brunson’s minutes, but the Knicks are unlikely to mount any sort of comeback without his services. Look for Donte DiVincenzo, who has 31 points, to be the focal point offensively for New York in the final stretch of this decisive contest.

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, who exited Game 7 against the Indiana Pacers Sunday late in the third quarter, remains in the locker room at the start of the fourth quarter as the home team tries to mount a late comeback against Indiana. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau did not offer any update on Brunson in the broadcast interview in between quarters, so the reason for his departure is not known.

It’s been a rough afternoon for Brunson, who is 6-17 from the floor and 1-3 from behind the arc as New York tries to avoid being the first home team to lose a game in this series.
