Game 6 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks will take place Saturday evening with the Thunder hoping to stave off elimination and shift the series back to Game 7 at home. Oklahoma City grabbed a road win to level things up at 2-2 but faltered in Game 5 and is now facing elimination in this road encounter.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite Thunder player prop bets to target for Game 6 Saturday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jalen Williams over 5.5 rebounds (-112)
Williams has been a regular on the glass in this series, going over this mark in each of the last three games. The Thunder are excellent as a team at crashing the boards, which does make their rebounding trends a bit hard to predict. However, I expect Williams to be more aggressive after seeing the Mavericks outrebound Oklahoma City 46-33 in Game 5. He’s been going above this mark of late and I’ll take him to make it four straight overs in Game 6.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 31.5 points (+100)
The MVP finalist struggled in Game 1 of this series before turning things up. He’s averaging 32 points per game on 51% shooting over the last four contests, but the Thunder do need some other sources of offense to be competitive. I do think Gilgeous-Alexander remains aggressive and goes over this mark, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he looks to set up teammates early in the game before taking over as a scorer later on.
Chet Holmgren over 2.5 blocks (-112)
It might not feel like Holmgren has had a big impact in this series, and he was pushed around in Game 5 on the interior. However, the Thunder big man is logging 2.8 blocks per game and went over this line in three of the five games so far. Even if Holmgren’s offense isn’t clicking, he can make the difference for Oklahoma City defensively. I’ll back him to recover from a tame showing on that side of the ball in Game 5 with a stronger effort in Game 6 tonight.
