Aaron Judge, over 0.5 home runs (+205)
Judge has been on a tear at the plate as of late, producing a 2.239 OPS with three home runs, five doubles, and five RBI in his last five games. The Yankees star went deep in last night’s win over the White Sox and today will be matched up against starter Brad Keller, whom he’s homered off of once before in his career. All rise, because I’ll predict that the former MVP will launch another one into the Yankee Stadium bleachers today.
Pete Alonso, over 1.5 total bases (+140)
The Polar Bear is batting just .217 heading into today’s matchup against the Marlins, but has been a power machine with 10 home runs for the Mets. Today he’ll go up against Marlins lefty Braxton Garrett, whom he’s had success against with a .400 career average and two home runs. Whether its through an extra-base hit or multiple singles, I’ll pencil Alonso in for multiple bases by the end of this NL East showdown.
Shota Imanaga, over 18.5 outs recorded (+130)
Imanaga has been electric through his eight starts for the Cubs, posting an outstanding 0.96 ERA with a 0.94 WHIP. However, he’s touched the seventh inning just three times in those starts as the Cubs have made sure to protect his arm. Battling the struggling Pirates offense today, I’ll say he gets goes at least 6.1 innings in this matchup and records over 18 outs.
