The MLB has a full day of games on Friday, May 17 with every team scheduled to be in action. There is an abundance of player prop bets to look through, trying to find an advantage. While more volatile, many bettors enjoy placing wagers on whether or not a certain player will hit a home run in a specific game. We suggest placing smaller bets on these props, usually 0.5 units or so, given the inflated odds.

Marcell Ozuna vs. San Diego Padres (+260)
Ozuna has launched 12 home runs this season, with his last coming over a week ago. He is due at the plate and will begin Friday’s game against San Diego taking on starter Matt Waldron. The knuckleballer enters with a 1-5 record, a 5.49 ERA and has allowed a home run in five straight games.
Justin Turner vs. Tampa Bay Rays (+380)
Turner hasn’t been his best this season, hitting just .246 through 37 games. Still, he is tied for the second-most home runs on the Toronto Blue Jays with four. Turner will take on Tampa Bay starter Tyler Alexander on Friday. Alexander has allowed the fourth-most home runs this season, and has given up a longball in back-to-back games.
Jonah Heim vs. Los Angeles Angels (+400)
The switch-hitting Heim will be hitting right-handed against Los Angeles southpaw Tyler Anderson. So far in his career against the pitcher, he is 7-12 with a home run and two RBI. Heim is hitting .244 this season with four home runs. Only one has come against a left-handed pitcher, but he typically sees the ball well from Anderson giving him upside. Anderson has also given up a home run in five of his last six starts.
