The New Orleans Saints’ 2024 schedule kicks off with a Week 1 matchup against Panthers in New Orleans. The Saints went 9-8 in 2023, finishing second in the NFC South and just barely missing the playoffs. They have not reached the postseason since 2020. New Orleans lost backup quarterback Jameis Winston to free agency in the offseason, and released wide receiver Michael Thomas. They signed WR Cedrick Wilson Jr., as well as edge rusher Chase Young and LBs Willie Gay Jr. and Khaleke Hudson.
In the draft, the Saints picked up offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga with their first round selection, and grabbed cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry out of Alabama in the second round. They also drafted quarterback Spencer Rattler as a backup for Carr.
