Breaking down the weather forecast for 2024 PGA Championship

The 2024 PGA Championship tees off this week from Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky. The second major of the year will run from Thursday, May 16 through Sunday, May 19. Scottie Scheffler enters as the favorite, installed at +400. Last year’s winner, Brooks Kopeka, comes in at +1400.

The forecast in Louisville calls for thunderstorms on Friday and morning showers on Saturday. If the storms are severe enough, they could cause delays in play during the second and third rounds, and will likely affect the course itself through the weekend. The Masters also faced an early rain delay in April, and high winds and wet grasses impacted the golfers’ results at Augusta.

Below is a look at the weather report for the four days of the 2024 PGA Championship starting Thursday, May 16 and ending Sunday, May 19.
