The MLB is back in action on Tuesday, May 14, with 16 games scheduled. The Washington Nationals and the Chicago White Sox will play a doubleheader. Teddy Ricketson’s 2024 MLB Player Prop record: 48-35-5
Friday recap (2-1): Salvador Perez went 0-3 and fell short of his 0.5 hit prop line for our lone miss of the day. Tyler Glasnow pitched seven strong innings and allowed just one earned run while striking out 10, easily clearing his 5.5 strikeout line. Marcell Ozuna started off his game against the New York Mets slowly but picked up the hit we needed from him in the top of the 8th inning.
MLB player prop bets: Tuesday, May 14
Dylan Cease, 8+ strikeouts (-160)
Cease will take on the Colorado Rockies for the second time this season. He struck out eight in the first and has struck out at least eight batters in three of his last four starts. Colorado strikes out an average of 9.66 times per game, the third-highest rate in the league.
Ty France, over 0.5 hits (-165)
France and the Seattle Mariners will take on Kansas City starting pitcher Michael Wacha on Tuesday. He has fared well against the veteran pitcher and heads into the game 9-15 against him in his career. France is hitting .243 this season and picked up two hits in the series opener. That momentum and the matchup against Wacha should help him pick up at least one hit on Tuesday.
Ronel Blanco, over 17.5 outs recorded (-125)
Blanco heads into Tuesday’s start against the Oakland Athletics with a 4-0 record and a 2.23 ERA. He hasn’t been as good as his first start of the season when he threw a no-hitter, but he hasn’t been bad. Blanco has gotten through at least 5.2 innings in each of his seven starts this season. In order for this prop to hit, he needs to pitch six full innings. As long as Blanco’s pitch count doesn’t get away from him, he should be able to get through six innings at least against the Athletics.
