Fighter history
Lomachenko is a former three-weight champion, having held the WBO featherweight title (2014), WBO junior lightweight belt (2016), and achieving unified lightweight status (2019). He nearly became unified champion again at 135 pounds but lost via unanimous decision to Devin Haney last May. Known for his clean fundamentals and ability to switch stances, “Loma” remains a tough out in the stacked lightweight division.
Kambosos shocked the world back in 2021 when he upset Teofimo Lopez and became unified king at 135 pounds. However, he failed to retain as WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight champion, losing twice to Devin Haney in 2022. In his last bout he defeated Maxi Hughes by majority decision to become IBO lightweight champion.
