Saturday’s MLB slate is a busy one with 15 games taking place around the league. That means there are ample opportunities for bettors to place player prop bets. We’ll go over some of our favorites for today with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Justin Steele, under 1.5 earned runs (+105)
All eyes will be on the Pirates this afternoon with the highly anticipated debut of 2023 No. 1 overall pick Paul Skenes. For Pirates fans, the pitching phenom’s debut should offer a brief distraction from how woeful the team’s hitting has been so far this month. Pittsburgh hitters have batted a league-worst .194 at the plate in their last five games and have pushed across just 15 runs in the process. However long Cubs starter Justin Steele goes this afternoon, I’ll take the under on his earned runs.
Yandy Diaz, over 1.5 hits (+190)
The Rays will try to get back to .500 when hosting the Yankees this afternoon and Yandy Diaz will try to get back on track at the plate. Last year’s Silver Slugger recipient has struggled through the first month and change of the campaign, but he was productive in last night’s series opener by going 2-3 at the plate. The Tampa Bay first baseman has a favorable matchup today when going up against New York starter Nestor Cortes, owning a .370 career batting average against through 28 plate plate appearances. I’ll tab Yoked Yandy for multiple hits in today’s contest and take the over.
Jose Ramirez, over 0.5 home runs (+370)
Ramirez has been on fire at the plate over the last week as he’s blasted four home runs and eight RBI with a .348 batting average and a 1.288 OPS over his last six games for the Guardians. Two of those homers have come in the first two games of this four-game set against the White Sox and he’ll try to make it three in a row when going up against Sox starter Mike Clevinger. Considering that Clevinger is coming off a woeful season debut against the Rays this past Monday, I’ll wager on Ramirez going deep again this evening.
