After a lighter day on Thursday, the MLB is back with a full 15-game schedule for Friday, May 10. Every team being in action gives you plenty of odds and lines to work through to try and find an advantage. To save you some time, here are our best MLB player prop bets, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Teddy Ricketson’s 2024 MLB Player Prop record: 46-34-5
Thursday recap (2-1): Pablo Lopez’s strikeout line seemed too high at 8.5, so I took the under, but it wasn’t, as he finished with 10 over 6.1 innings. That was the lone miss of the day as Jose Altuve finished 1-5, enough to hit his hit prop line. St. Louis Cardinals starter Sonny Gray got rocked by the Milwaukee Brewers but still managed to punch out six hitters in five innings. This missed his strikeout prop but hit the 6+ alt. line, which we took.
MLB player prop bets: Friday, May 10
Tyler Glasnow, over 5.5 strikeouts (-175)
Glasnow will start his ninth game of the season on Friday and his second against the San Diego Padres. The first was the technical first game of the season and part of the Seoul Series. He pitched five innings and struck out three. Glasnow has punched out at least six hitters in three straight starts and in five of his eight outings. He should strike out at least six on Friday.
Salvador Perez, over 0.5 hits (-280)
Perez is riding a three-game hit streak and picked up two hits in the series opener on Thursday. He and the Kansas City Royals will take on Los Angeles Angels starter Griffin Canning, who has a 1-4 record and a 6.69 ERA. Perez hasn’t seen much of Canning and is just 3-9 against him so far in his career, but he should be able to add to that on Friday.
Marcell Ozuna, over 0.5 hits (-190)
Ozuna has been red hot at the plate to start the season. He is hitting .315 and leads the MLB in home runs (12) and RBI (38). The Atlanta Braves designated hitter has five hits in his last three games and has a good matchup against New York Mets southpaw Jose Quintana. Ozuna is 11-24 against him in his career, with two doubles and a home run. He is hitting .389 against left-handed pitchers this season.
