Best home run bets: Tuesday, May 7
Cal Raleigh vs. Twins (+275)
Raleigh has eight homers under his belt this season and has hit two this month. While he went runless in the Mariners’ opening game against the Twins, Raleigh already has two home runs on his stat sheet in May. Twins starter Bailey Ober let up three homers in his first start of the season, and while he went all of April without a pitch going out of the park, he allowed one home run in his first May start.
Max Muncy vs. Marlins (+340)
Muncy hit a whopping three home runs on Saturday to bring his total for the season to eight. He faces Marlins starter Edward Cabrera on Tuesday, who has an ERA of 6.05 and who has let up a homer in each of his last two starts. If the Dodgers’ third baseman can harness even some of this weekend’s momentum, he is a solid bet for a Tuesday homer.
Riley Greene vs. Guardians (+475)
Greene has nine home runs this season, placing him in the top 10 in all of MLB on the HR stat line. The Tigers outfielder hit his ninth of the season against the Guardians on Monday, and could move into double digits as he faces Guardians starter Logan Allen on Tuesday evening. Allen has an ERA of 5.11 and has let up seven homers this season, including one in his most recent start last week.
