We still have a few months to go before life is good again (read: before college football returns), but legendary rapper Snoop Dogg is reminding us what the greatest sport on earth is all about this offseason. Snoop Dogg announced on Monday that he will be sponsoring the Arizona Bowl this winter following the 2024 season. The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin & Juice will take place at Arizona Stadium in Tucson.

No word if it will be laid back, or how much money was on The Doggfather’s mind when agreeing to the deal. But bringing the hip-hop icon and massive sports fan into the fold can only open up crossover opportunities that should be plenty of fun on social media.
The illustrious history of the Tucson-based game starts in 2015, in what was known as the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl for five seasons. A quickie offer from Offerpad (it’s a real estate company) was for just one year during Covid-19 in 2020. Barstool Sports was the title sponsor the last three years, which was part of the reason the game was only available on streaming and not a TV network.
Bowl sponsors have embraced the silliness of the tradition in the last several years. From Duke’s Mayo baths to the giant edible Pop-Tart lowering into a massive toaster on the field (both instantly meme-able events that catapulted each bowl’s popularity), bowl season has become a time for advertisers to go big or go home.
“I’m ready to bring the juice back to college football,” Snoop Dogg said in his announcement video. But the question is at two in the mornin’ is the party still jumpin’? Tune in on December 28 to find out.
