The 2024 Wells Fargo Championship tees off from Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina. The tournament will run from Thursday, May 9 through Sunday, May 12. The Wells Fargo is a signature event in 2024, which means that a limited field of just 70 golfers will compete over all 72 holes with no cut. Signature events bring the best of the best from the PGA TOUR, although World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is sitting out of this one as he prepares for the upcoming birth of his first child.
Rory McIlroy opens as the favorite to win, installed at +750 at DraftKings Sportsbook. McIlroy has won three times at Quail Hollow, and his most recent win at the Wells Fargo came in 2021. Two-time winner Max Homa enters at +2200, and reigning champion Wyndham Clark comes in at +1800. Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele, and Viktor Hovland enter the field as well.
