We’ve got two Game 6s in the 2024 NBA Playoffs Friday evening, with the Cavaliers and Mavericks having a chance to advance to the second round while the Magic and Clippers look to force Game 7. There’s plenty of star power on display but that also means a lot of rotation players will come in at a bargain price in DFS lineups.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Norman Powell, Clippers, $4,900
Powell was awesome for the Clippers in Game 3 with 30.5 fantasy points. He hasn’t been able to come near that mark in the last two games but the Clippers do need scoring from players outside of Paul George and James Harden. Powell seems to be the most likely candidate to do that, and he has been a better scorer over the last three games of the series. He comes in at a great price point in DFS lineups, and he should be in your lineups Friday.
Wendell Carter Jr., Magic, $4,400
The Magic big man logged 33 minutes in Game 5, which translated to 31.8 fantasy points. Carter Jr., as is the case with most role players, should perform better at home in Game 6 especially if he plays big minutes again. Carter Jr. appears to have established himself as the main center for Orlando and that means he’s an excellent addition at this price point. He should be in your lineup.
Derrick Jones Jr., Mavericks, $4,600
The Mavericks are going to need scoring outside of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, even though both have been proven playoff performers. Jones Jr. has been solid in the last two games, averaging 26.3 fantasy points per game. The combo forward shoots 10% from behind the arc at home versus on the road, which is good news for the Mavericks in Game 6. Even though the volume might not be there, Jones Jr. is worth backing based on his recent play.
