The 2024 Miami Grand Prix will be held on Sunday, May 5. This is one of the few sprint race weekends on the Formula 1 schedule, meaning that rather than having three practice sessions, they are having the first practice session and then a sprint qualifier and race to give fans some added excitement during race weekend with some championship standing points up for grabs.
The first practice session for the Miami Grand Prix will be held at 12:30 p.m. ET on Friday with the sprint qualifying taking place at 4:30 p.m. ET. The sprint race itself will be held on Saturday, May 4 at Noon ET and will lead into Grand Prix qualifying at 4 p.m. ET. Both sprint qualifying and the sprint race will be shorter versions of what fans will see on Sunday. For example, the sprint race is expected to last about 30 minutes, and the Grand Prix on Sunday will be around an hour and a half.
Max Verstappen has the best odds of winning the sprint race on Saturday at DraftKings Sportsbook. He is installed at -500 and is followed by Sergio Perez (+1000), Lando Norris (+1600), Charles Leclerc (+1600) and Carlos Sainz (+1600).
