The Los Angeles Clippers will attempt to force Game 7 when they visit the Dallas Mavericks Friday evening for Game 6 of this first-round series in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. The Clippers put forth a magnificent effort in Game 4 without Kawhi Leonard to tie up this series at 2-2 but the Mavericks dominated Game 5 and now have an opportunity to close out the series at home.
Leonard remains sidelined indefinitely while Terance Mann is questionable. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are out for Dallas.
The Mavericks are 8-point favorites according to DraftKings Sportsbook and the total comes in at 208. Dallas is -325 on the moneyline while Los Angeles is +260.

Both teams have been inconsistent over this series. The Clippers rose to the occasion in Game 4 before laying the ultimate dud at home in Game 5. The Mavericks got smoked in Game 1 but bounced back in Games 2 and 3. They appear to be on a clear mission after the Game 5 victory, but there’s too much star power on LA’s roster to completely dismiss the Clippers. I don’t think the Mavericks will have an issue closing this series out but I’ll take the Clippers to cover this spread.
Over/Under: Over 208
The first three games in this series went under this line, while the last two contests have gone over this line. There’s been an offensive outburst over Games 4 and 5, first from the Clippers and then from the Mavericks. The spread indicates the oddsmakers believe this is potentially going to be a blowout, which usually trends to totals going under. I do think the Clippers will be better offensively after completely tanking in Game 5, and that game still went over this line. I’ll take the over once again Friday evening.
