The Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks square off in Game 6 Friday evening, with the home team attempting to close out the series and finally get an important victory in this recent rivalry. The Clippers will try to replicate their performance from Game 4 to send this series back to southern California for Game 7, while Dallas comes in off a hot shooting night in Game 5.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop bets to target for Game 6 Friday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Luka Doncic triple-double (+205)
The Mavericks star is off the injury report, so the knee issue he dealt with in Games 4 and 5 appears to have subsided. Doncic has logged one triple-double in this series but has come three rebounds and one assist away from making it three triple-doubles in a row. With a chance to send the Clippers packing, I think the superstar shows out at home. Doncic has always had a ton of success in this matchup, and he should be able to maintain his all-around production Friday.
James Harden over 7.5 assists (-135)
The Beard logged eight assists in the first two games but has gone under this mark in the subsequent three contests. Harden has logged at least seven assists in four of the five games, so he should be able to at least come close to this mark. He has typically not played well in key playoff games but with free agency looming, now is a great opportunity to change that. Although Harden might not have a great scoring performance, he should be able to direct this offense to a better showing than Game 5.
Derrick Jones Jr. over 1.5 3-pointers (+164)
Jones Jr. has gone over this mark in each of the last two games. He performs much better at home, and his percentages from behind the arc are the big reason why. Jones Jr. shot 39% from three-point range at home during the regular season, as opposed to just 29% on the road. The Mavericks will need to find scoring from sources outside of Doncic and Kyrie Irving, with Jones Jr. being a candidate to do that from the perimeter. I think he continues to go over this mark Friday.
Norman Powell over 12.5 points (-112)
Similar to the Mavericks needing scoring from non-stars, the Clippers are going to look for options as well. Paul George and Harden have historically not done well in this spot in the playoffs, so someone else needs to step up. With Terance Mann questionable, Powell seems to be the best bet here. He’s gone over this mark twice in the last three games, averaging 15.3 points per game. After a dud from behind the arc in Game 5, Powell’s shooting numbers should normalize a bit in Game 6. That’ll help him cross this line.
