Not much baseball today, as we have only a handful of games and most are taking place this afternoon. Let’s get into a couple bets I like on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Chicago Cubs at New York Mets
The Pick: Mike Tauchman over 1.5 H/R/RBI -110
Tauchman has been one of the Cubs better hitters this season, slashing .295/.427/.500 with three home runs, 10 RBI and 18 runs scored. He’s been specifically good against righties, whom he has a .415 wOBA and a 170 wRC+ against thus far. Today, he’ll be facing Adrian Houser, who has a .373 wOBA and a 5.06 FIP against lefties against. This is a great spot for Tauchman to go over this number, as Houser has been putting a ton of men on base (6.08 BB/9) and is not striking opposing hitters out at all. He’s been hitting second against righties behind Nico Hoerner, who has been getting on base at a great clip with a .349 OBP. If you’re liking a Cubs win or for them to go over their 3.5 (soon to be 4.5) team total, Tauchman has a great chance of being part of that offense today.
Washington Nationals at Texas Rangers
The Pick: Game Total through first five innings under 4.5 runs -125
We have a good pitching matchup between the Nationals and Rangers this afternoon. Mitchell Parker will take on Nathan Eovaldi in Texas. Parker has been fantastic in three starts for the Nationals, going 16 innings and posting a 1.69 ERA with a xERA of 2.80, a 7.8 K/9 and just a 1.1 BB/9. It hasn’t been an easy schedule for him either, facing the Dodgers, Astros and Marlins (well, they suck actually).
Eovaldi has been a bit more inconsistent but he’s been stellar at home. Overall, he has a 3.00 ERA with an xERA of 3.64. At home those numbers drop to a 2.04 ERA to go with a .257 wOBA and a 3.25 FIP. The Nationals have not been great against righties with a .311 wOBA and a 99 wRC+. 4.5 runs feels like a lot for two pitchers that have bene pitching well, so I’m going under on this first five total.
