Thursday’s MLB slate features a limited number of games, with just six scheduled matchups taking place on May 2. We break down the best home run prop bets of the day. Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best home run bets: Thursday, May 2
Adolis Garcia vs. Nationals (+210)
Garcia has already hit eight home runs this season, and his latest dinger came on April 28 against Cleveland. He goes up against Nationals pitcher Mitchell Parker, who recently made his MLB debut. While Parker has been solid thus far, earning a 1.69 ERA over three starts, he began to slip up in his latest start as he gave up six hits in four innings. Garcia could have a legitimate shot to get a ninth on Thursday.
Yordan Alvarez vs. Guardians (+225)
Alvarez is one of three Astros with seven or more home runs this season, and both Kyle Tucker and Jose Altuve would be good options as well, here. In fact, you may want to double down on two Astros — in three of his six starts this season, Guardians pitcher Logan Allen has let up two home runs.
Tyler O’Neill vs. Giants (+330)
O’Neill heads into May on the hunt for his 10th homer of the season. If he hits one today, he will become one of just three MLB players to have reached double digits in the home run stat line. Giants pitcher Kyle Harrison has a 4.09 ERA and has let up five home runs in six starts, and four of those have come on the road. The Red Sox host the series.
