Odds for the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson

The 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson tees off from TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas this week. The tournament will run from Thursday, May 2 through Sunday, May 5. Last year’s winner, Jason Day, returns to the field in hopes of becoming the second consecutive golfer to earn back-to-back wins at Craig Ranch. KH Lee earned the title in both 2021 and 2022. Day is installed at +2000, and Lee comes in at +4500.

Hometown her Jordan Spieth headlines this tournament — McKinney is just outside Dallas, where Spieth grew up, and the local legend is the favorite to win, entering at +1400 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Si Woo Kim comes in as the second choice at +1600.

While this event doesn’t have the depth of field as a Signature Event on the PGA TOUR, it does come with a $9.5 million prize pool and $1.71 million going to the winner. There’s also a two-year TOUR exemption for the champion, and a spot in the 2025 Masters as well as plenty of other events. With most of the Top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings skipping this week’s event, it’s a great chance for the average PGA pro to pick up a huge victory.
