The 2024 NBA Playoffs continue Tuesday with Game 5 action in three series. The Knicks and Pacers have the opportunity to advance to the second round, while the Cavaliers and Magic are looking to gain an edge with their matchup tied 2-2. Here’s a look at some of our favorite player props for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Tyrese Maxey over 25.5 points vs. Knicks (-102)
The Sixers guard has steadily declined in this series when it comes to efficiency. He shot 50+% from the floor in the first two games but finished at a 38.1% clip in Game 4. Maxey has gone over this line in two of the four games, with one under coming at 25 points. A lot of people will point to Tobias Harris needing to get going but Maxey also needs to step things up in this elimination game. I like him to have a solid showing at Madison Square Garden tonight, just like he did in Games 1 and 2.
Donovan Mitchell over 1.5 steals vs. Magic (-120)
Mitchell grabbed three steals in Games 1 and 4, although his last defensive effort didn’t result in a win. The Cavaliers star shooting guard will be more worried about his offensive performance getting back on track at home but I think he continues to maintain his defensive prowess. Cleveland locked down Orlando in the first two games, and Mitchell spearheaded that effort. Look for him to grab at least a couple steals tonight.
Myles Turner over 29.5 points + rebounds vs. Bucks (-105)
The Pacers big man has been crushing it from deep, shooting 50% from the perimeter over the course of the series. Turner hit seven of his nine triples in Game 4 en route to 29 points and the win. He’s scored 29 points in each of the last two games, while also grabbing nine rebounds in each contest. With Giannis Antetokounmpo still sidelined, Turner has less competition on the glass again. He’s been shooting the ball so well it’s hard to imagine that dropping off to the point where he doesn’t once again surpass this line.
