The first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs continues on Monday and the slate will bring us three games, two of which could decide their respective series. With these games on the docket, there’s plenty of opportunities to find good value plays for your lineups in DFS.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Nikola Jovic, Heat, $4,800
Jovic checks in right below the value line as the Heat try avoiding going down 3-1 to the Celtics this evening. The second-year forward has been forced into a starting role due to Jimmy Butler’s injury and has done well for himself so far, averaging 12 points and 7.7 rebounds through the first three games of this series. He’s had back-to-back outings where he has delivered at least 32 fantasy points in DFS and I would expect s similar effort as desperation begins to set in for Miami.
Lu Dort, Thunder, $4,400
The Thunder will try to finish off a four-game sweep of the Pelicans this evening and Dort could play a big factor in getting that accomplished. The forward has averaged 35 minutes as a starter throughout the series and it has yielded some good production for OKC as he’s averaged 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Notably, all of his made baskets have come from downtown and if can get hot from three, then he’ll been a boon for DFS users who insert him into their lineups.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Nuggets, $4,700
KCP has been a consistent presence for the Nuggets through their first-round series against the Lakers and he’ll try to help them close it out in Game 5 this evening. The veteran had his best individual outing in Saturday’s Game 4 loss, putting up 14 points, four steals, and three assists to crank out 29 FP’s for DFS users. That all came in 40 minutes of work and he should get a similar number of minutes as Denver tries to put LA down for good.
