Braves vs. Mariners (-155)
The Mariners are starting Bryce Miller, whose 2.22 ERA lands him at 12th among all MLB starting pitchers. Miller has yet to let up more than two earned runs in a start this month, and the Braves have not hit a first-inning run in the past three games. Max Fried, Atlanta’s starting pitcher, threw a 92-pitch shutout against Miami in his latest game.
Cubs vs. Mets (-145)
Luis Severino will take the mound for the Mets. His 2.67 ERA ranks in the top 20 among MLB starters, and while he hasn’t pitched against the Cubs yet this season, the Northsiders have not earned a first-inning run in any of their last four games. Cubs starter Jameson Taillon has been excellent, as well, with a 1.69 ERA over 10.2 innings pitched this season.
Game To Avoid
Twins vs. White Sox
The White Sox send Garrett Crochet (1-4, 6.37 ERA) to the mound to start against a Twins team that racked up 27 runs in their last two games. Minnesota’s offense is feeling hot right now, and Crochet is bound to give up at least one early run.
